I wanted to show you real briefly what an old
attic fan looks like. So as I look over my Shoulder here, here's an old attic fan – you
can tell just by the discoloration, this has Been up here for a while, and old attic fans tend
to get loose and rust out. You can literally see The shingle popping up from where I'm at, which is
a leak concern already. And then this nail right Here is loose, which allows water or anything else
to build its way into there and cause a big issue. What we would do is we'd come out, we'd pull this
attic fan out, replace that area with a sheet of Plywood, and then add a ridge vent, which goes
right along the top of the roof, giving passive Ventilation without an electrical component
that will allow your shingles to get the longest Lasting lifespan that they can possibly get. So
